Chapter 29

Twenty-four guardians consisting of twelve pairs suddenly froze as soon as the tip of the sword stuck into Queenza's chest, right where her heart was. They felt a real change in the energy around them. It was so strong and felt so twisted that it was suffocating as if countless creatures were surrounding them.

"What happened?" asked the brown-haired guardian who was in charge of taking Queenza into the middle of the forest.

There was no answer because everyone didn't understand either. Meanwhile, Emily held back a smile but was still in a ready position with her sword crossed in front of her body.

The tall, big guardian who had stuck his sword in Queenza's chest widened his eyes and then stepped back, causing the others to also step back in alarm. His gaze focused on Queenza's body on the ground which seemed to turn to dust and then fly away until nothing remained, leaving the sword still stuck in the ground. Even Queenza's blood that soaked some of the guardians' swords
