Chapter 33

Queenza opened her eyes with a foggy mind. Her chest still hurts - it hurts a lot. But she didn't know why. And where she is. Her brain seemed to be scattered and she was trying to put it back together.

"She's awake."

A woman's voice. It sounded not far from where Queenza was.

"How long will it take for you to start the ritual?"

The voice sounded heavier and more masculine. A man's voice. Queenza noticed all the details through the fog that shrouded her brain.

"In about a month, exactly the full moon, Your Majesty," said the woman.

"Are you sure this will work?" asked the man.

"I've never done it before. But according to my ancestor's records, this will work. Considering they're already bound and this woman's blood is in Kingsley's body, there shouldn't be any problems. Once they revive, Kingsley will no longer be an immortal who can't be killed. His wife is his weakness."
