She was facing the biggest decision of her life. Going home in disgrace or ending it now. She could move on with her life without any hindrance. She would be free to do anything she pleased.

Deep in thought, feeling numb, she was counting the stars and hearts on the wallpaper, thinking of her first days in London.

The men in her family knew she’d be in Paris, but Maman and Beau made the last-minute option to send her to another place instead.

She didn’t know how her sister-in-law did it, but she found herself enrolled in a prestigious university. Though her grades were near perfect, it would have been impossible without connections.

College was an absolute nightmare. She was just settling in when her nausea started. Everything became real. Making her realize she was not ready. It was so easy to make a decision then, that she booked an appointment the next day.

Right at this moment, she was not sure.
