Chapter 55

I feel something warm trailing down my arms just as the lights go off. There are shocked gasps for the most part but people don’t really make a move to get out of the way or anything like that.

I'm not focused on what is on my arm, rather I'm trying to find my way out of here. Maybe the lights going off was a good thing. I can escape Xander. Because from the way he was acting, he hadn't planned on just walking me to the door. Nothing about him says gentleman.

But I have one slight problem. I can't see as well in the dark as the rest of the people here. It doesn't help that most of them are lycans. And lycans are known to have better everything than wolves.

I blinked, wondering why my eyes felt dry. I literally can't make out anything.

This can't be happening right now.

I try to keep my expression calm. In case anyone was watching me, I didn't want to look frightened. In a room full of predators, you
