Jon's POV:

"It's pouring down out there now, so is she ready?" I asked Karen's father, cleaning off the rain from my clothes.

"'I am not so sure that this is a good idea," He said, looking at me doubtfully.

"What do you mean ?"

"Karen is still very fragile. I think she needs more time to recuperate."

"What does she think?"

"She wants to go home. But you know Karen, she'll put on a brave face."

"I can assure you that I will look after her."

"This must be hard on you. Jon, are you sure that you are ready to hear what she has to say? Besides, you just went through a divorce."

"Has she said something? And what has my divorce got to do with anything?"

"Not yet but I do believe that all this is a lot deeper than she is letting on. About the divorce, I meant no offense," He explained and I let out a sigh.
