“Hey!” Heyon heard his best friend’s voice reverberate close to his ear. He started, smiling when he saw Seok sit next to him.

Lim was sitting in the garden, staring fixedly at an unimportant point. “I can hear your thoughts, you know?” Heyon widened his eyes, hearing Seok laugh. “Just kidding. But I know you well. Your mind is full, what can you tell me about?”

Lim sighed heavily, staring at a distant rose that seemed to be gazing at the sun. “Everyone looks angry, and after what Aguna saw… I think they’re angry with me now.”

“Of course not, Yonie.”

“You heard… the witches think I’m Caille’s devil.”

“That’s silly, Yonie. You heard Melisandre say that the demon is a girl or woman. She has red hair from birth, is powerful, and possibly knows magic like the back of her hand. You were an ordinary human, with black hair and a wounded soul. Do you think if you were Caille’s demon, you would have let all that happen to you?”
