Chapter 80
"He is not here." My voice is dry and comes out painful. My vision swims for an awful second. I hear the main door of the warehouse slam open, the woman hears it too and she gets up, looking around the small corner we are in. Frantically searching like Tyler would just materialise out of nowhere.
"Where is he?" She asks like she did not hear me before, maybe she didn't, she leans down so our faces are level, I am taken aback by the eyes looking at me, they are Tyler's. Just less cold. But the same arctic blue nonetheless. They are wet and desperate and sad. She has been crying. If I was seeing her under a different context, I would say she was stunning.
The sound of approaching footsteps is louder and closer. I can't make sense of anything that is happening right now, but I am strangely not scared. Because I know Tyler is not here. He left.
