Tangled Hearts: Chapter 43

Isabella followed Chris into one of the popular restaurants in Paris. She still couldn’t tell how he had dragged her out of her office. All she knew was that after hearing what he had to say, she turned around and picked her bag and they were out the door the next minute and into his car only to get down now. The ride has been silent but she had really enjoyed being in that confined space alone with him. Although nothing happened, nor did they share any pleasantries, but it was fun nonetheless.

A waitress rushed to them and smiled sweetly at Chris, a sight Isabella envied and hated at the same time. She loved the lady’s audacity, at least she wasn’t afraid to let out her feelings unlike her who had been hiding hers for years.

“My reservation please,” the deep voice of Chris sipped into her thoughts and she sighed contentedly and glanced at him, wishing she could be as daring as the waitress. But she has always been shy in nature and always knew to mind her place.
