Book 2: Chapter 36
Michael got home at a few minutes to seven. He wasn’t surprised to find out that Sasha was not yet back. He went to their bedroom to prepare for the dinner and came downstairs to wait for her.
At exactly 7:55 p.m., Sasha’s car pulled over in the garage. She got down and stretched herself. She yawned and walked to the front yard only to see Gary beside the car.
“Welcome, Mistress. You have five minutes to prepare for the dinner,” he reminded her.
Sasha acted nonchalant. “Said I’m not going. Didn’t he tell you that?”
“Miss Sasha, your father-in-law will be present. I understand you are angry with the boss, but don’t dwindle his father’s impression of you. It will really affect you if eventually your marriage happens to work out. You can do whatever you want to the boss, but when it comes to his parents, you need to let go of your anger and give them their respect.”
