Chapter 5
Taylor’s POV
I woke up that morning with a dull ache in my lower abdomen, the familiar pain of dysmenorrhea making its unwelcome appearance. But as a dedicated resident, my instinct was to push through the discomfort and fulfill my responsibilities at the hospital. I convinced myself that I could manage the pain and carry out my duties without any major hindrance.
As I made my way to the hospital, the pain intensified, causing waves of nausea to wash over me. Yet, I pressed on, determined not to let it deter me. However, as I stepped into the bustling corridors of the hospital, I felt a sudden wave of dizziness and weakness. My vision blurred, and my legs gave way beneath me.
The next thing I knew, I woke up to the concerned faces of my colleagues hovering over me. My head throbbed, and my body felt heavy with exhaustion. It was clear that I had pushed myself beyond my limits, and my body had finally given in.
