Belle woke up, and Ben wasn’t beside her. She sat up and looked around, but didn’t see him. Falling back on the pillows, she lay back down with a sigh, assuming he had left while she was still asleep.

Her assumption was wrong because Ben soon opened the door to the room and came in with a tray in his hands. He kept it on the bed carefully, before leaning into her and kissing her on the cheeks.

“Is my hair messy?” She asked, but Ben just laughed in response.

“Glad you’ve woken up, else I would have had to bring you breakfast. Thought you wouldn’t be in the mood to make yourself something, seeing how tired you were last night.”
