Chapter 57
The rays of sunlight flashing through the window had Morgan Daniels stirring on the bed. It was too bright, causing her to gently open her eyes in hopes to adjust to the bright light. Once her eyes opened, she took in her surroundings. A large window frame, with its curtains, shifted to her right, a large wall before her that held two separate doors, one she assumed was the bathroom and the other was a walk-in closet.
The portrait of a naked woman on the wall caught her attention. Morgan sat up on the bed with a frown on her face, using the silky sheets to cover her naked body.
She studied the picture. The woman in the painting looked sad, her hands up in the air as her body easily turned into butterflies flying away.
The older woman has never been a fan of painting, but this one had managed to catch had attention, so she made a mental note to ask Maia about it. Maia.
At the thought of her name, last night's events suddenly appeared right before Morgan Daniel
