Chapter 65

"Have you given it any thought?" Morgan Daniels asked, sliding a plate of freshly cooked beef before Maia.

It was much later in the afternoon, one p.m. to be precise and both girls were having lunch. Lea had crashed out after playing with Poppy, Mr Clusterfield's dog. She'd come home panting and sweating and the moment she had her bath, she passed out.

Whilst Lea was over at Mr Clusterfield, playing with Poppy, Maia had gone for a walk to clear her thoughts and think of how to approach the situation of finding her real mom. Morgan stayed home and cleaned, then proceeded to make lunch.

Maia walked in when she was cleaning the gas plate. Morgan offered her a beer whilst she rounded up with cleaning.

"Yes, but I'm not certain if I made the right choice" she stated, picking up the fork and knife and digging into her meal. Morgan cleared her throat and waited for her to swallow before she spoke up.
