Chapter 64
The time read seven thirty p.m. and Morgan and Maia were currently sitting at the dinner table having dinner. Maia has been abnormally quiet since she returned from the funeral. Well not totally quiet, she tried to mask her disarray by engaging in small talks with Morgan and pretending to take interest in whatever Lea was blabbing.
That didn't upset Morgan, the fact that she pretended to pay attention to Lea's talk. Because she knew the younger girl was trying her best to not let her thoughts overcome her. She'd give a fake smile every now and then to show that she was listening, before continuing to play with her food. Once Lea excused herself from the table, Morgan knew it was time to ask about her day and what is eating her away.
