Chapter 35
Stepping off the last stair and into the loft late the next afternoon, Livia jolted to a stop when she found Leon leaning against the wall as if he’d been waiting for her. She’d had every intention of avoiding him, had pretty well convinced herself it wouldn’t be hard, because he would want to avoid her, as well.
Seemed she was wrong.
Then realization struck. Narrowing her eyes up at him, she crossed her arms.
“I’ve stayed holed up in here for weeks. I can’t put it off anymore, Leon. I just finished packing up all my orders, and I need to get them shipped off.”
“I know,” he responded easily.
“I know all the scents to be on guard for, and the chances of coming across a Witch at the post office are slim to none. I’ll go straight there, and straight back, but I’m going, whether you like it or- wait, what did you say?”
