Chapter 3
The day is approaching evening.
The moment when the sun will turn more orange, in a matter of a few minutes it will sink like being swallowed by the ocean and replaced by a night moon accompanied by stars. Usually at this hour, Luna will sit at a large table commonly called the dining table, waiting for what meal menu Aunt Anna will determine as today's dinner.
"I didn't realize that Miss was sitting there," said the aunt, who was surprised when she was about to put her cooking on the dinner table. Aunt Anna smiled at Luna, who was sitting quietly opposite.
Luna nodded. The fun of crying a few hours ago made Luna feel awkward talking to her. "Auntie, sorry for the incident last afternoon,"
Luna smiled gloomily, feeling a little happy at least not being able to see their happy faces at the insults from one person, just trying to make Luna not listen to anything they laughed at or talked about in the cheers.
Aunt Anna walked up to Luna.
"If you want, you can tell me, it's not difficult to say, right? It just takes courage in you, Luna."
Luna inhaled the scent of the meal when Aunt Anna's body came up to me, Daniel's favorite scent of food, reminding Luna of a memory of deciding to stay in the apartment to take care of her ailing.
Luna touched the dining table, looked for chopsticks that used to be placed by the plate, then fumbled again to see whether Aunt Anna had put Luna's food. During these three years, it was one activity Luna always did before eating.
Although the first time doing it felt so painful, if you remember how devastated Luna was to force herself to do something without seeing and even just using her sense of taste and smell,
Three years ago
Today, Luna was forced to take time off for the next three days.
How come?
Luna's lover, Daniel, fell ill because she had just returned from a business trip, so she stopped driving to work and made a thousand excuses to be able to take three days off.
It may sound exaggerated, but for Luna, Daniel is everything.
Luna even wanted to always accompany him all day, even though she was only in the silence of her apartment.
Luna drove for half an hour to get to Daniel's apartment.Of course, with some ingredients that Luna had bought at the supermarket below. exactly in front when going to enter the Daniel apartment area.
"He still hasn't replaced it," Luna smiled happily as she typed in her apartment password that was used as Daniel's date of birth. March 15, 19XX.
After changing shoes with home slippers, Luna stepped into the darkened room. The man was very lazy, even if it was just to turn on the light in the living room.
"Niel? You're in the room?" called Luna, not going directly to Daniel's room, but instead preferring to put the things she brought there. Although not very good at cooking, Luna could still make instant noodles and porridge.
"Luna?"
The figure Luna was looking for just stepped out, and Luna smiled at the pale and limp face of her voice. Soon, Luna immediately walked up to her and gave her a longing hug because it had been 2 weeks since Luna hadn't seen Daniel, and especially Daniel's trip to London made it difficult for Luna to adjust her schedule.
"Do I have to get sick first? to make you able to see me now?" Daniel asked, and he kissed Luna's forehead longingly, returning the girl's embrace even though maybe Luna would feel Daniel's hot body temperature.
"Niel! Why say so? Niel, you know it yourself, don't you? If Dad forbids us to stay together until we get married?" said Luna. From inside Daniel's hug, Luna could feel if the man did have a fever.
"Well, since you are already here, please take care of me, Miss Luna." spoiled Daniel put his forehead on Luna's shoulder, even though the man hadn't previously complained anything when Luna knew he was sick, but now? Her behavior was completely different as Luna was forced to take care of her.
"Niel! You have a fever! Don't try to kiss me!"
Luna refused when Daniel invited me to kiss her, even though Daniel knew that doing so could pass on to Luna as well, with a little rough Luna holding her face and covering her mouth with her hands.
Luna was busy in the kitchen while dragging the man to sit sweetly on the sofa.
"Sit here and don't disturb me! Niel understands,"
Daniel showed an annoyed look. Daniel resigned himself as Luna told him to sit there. "Is there just one who shouldn't be?"
Luna smiled at him, then shook her head in rejection. Luna returned to the ingredients she had just bought, took them out one by one, and then washed them before using them. From the kitchen bar, Luna could see if Daniel was still angry. She just didn't want to make him feel guilty because, in the end, Luna contracted her fever.
Luna spent about 45 minutes preparing a meal for Daniel, making porridge with chicken and vegetables, and omelets and instant noodles for the lunch menu.
"Niel, come here!"
"Ah!! My head feels dizzy, why don't you just bring it here?"
Luna sighed, Daniel was very spoiled and took advantage of the situation to make Luna continue to serve him. After making sure the kitchen was tidy, Luna brought a bowl of porridge that belonged to Daniel and also his food on one tray.
"Well, it's your meal, Mr. Daniel," Luna placed the plate on the living room table and chose to sit beside her lover.
"Porridge?"
"Yes, when it hurts, you have to eat porridge."
"Don't want to! Look, you even ate my favorite ramen!"
After that, there was only a small debate in which Luna and Daniel took turns feeding each other, Luna feeding me a little if Daniel was willing to finish the porridge.
"Why? Doesn't Luna want to eat that?" Aunt Anna asked, pulling away the chair not far from where Luna was sitting. At this time, Auntie is not used to eating, she only drinks milk and fruit.
Luna came to her senses from a daydream. She didn't know if Luna had just remembered the time when she was taking care of Daniel. Luna just put one mouthful in her mouth, but it was just a hallucination.
"Ah—that's me waiting for it to cool down a bit," Luna again held up the spoon and gradually put it in her mouth.
"How can I forget you if memories don't even leave me, even if it's just a footprint?"
'Oh, I'm not even tired of crying all day,' Luna thought as she shed more tears.
"Auntie, thank you for eating," Luna said. For some reason, Luna was only able to finish a few mouthfuls, even though it tasted so good and was much different from her homemade food, but still, Luna couldn't forget the previous taste.
Luna picked up the cane she had placed on the floor, tapping the cane against the floor as she headed for my room, which was not far from the living room. Because of the accident, Luna was so afraid to sleep in the old room, let alone step foot upstairs.
