Chapter 24

"Let's get married this weekend, Annika". Mateo repeated still looking at Tallulah who was now standing upright.

A gasp escaped her lips as she shook her head slowly in disbelief.

"Fine, it's your choice to marry this demon". She mouthed since her voice was still incoherent though she knew he wouldn't understand her.

Mateo sighed and only nodded then turned holding Annika close to his body to help her walk. They both walked to the door and out of the room. 

Mateo turned to close the door catching sight of Tallulah who was still staring at him. He looked away and shut the door.

Immediately the door was shut, Tallulah fell to the floor releasing all efforts she put into holding herself up.

There was a knock at the door and Tallulah quickly wiped away the tears she didn't know had rolled down her cheeks. Enzo opened the door and walked in.

He rushed to help her up after seeing her on the floor.

"Ma'am, Is everything alright?".
