Chapter 46. Back Home
Bree’s POV
Stifling a yawn, I tried to stretch my body but couldn’t because of a hand pressing me down, slung around my torso. I had managed to wake up early today for school for the first time.
Praise the heavens.
Anyway, I was struggling to raise myself, but Hayden’s strong grip kept me in my place. My legs were completely tangled against his, with my back resting on his toned chest. I could feel the warm sensation in my back any time he breathed out.
I rolled my eyes to face him. I should have tried removing his hands from my waist, but my eyes lingered more on his face; he looked so peaceful and cute when he was asleep.
The smirk that was usually attached to his face was released by a genuine, small, relaxed smile. His brows weren’t furrowed together, and the cold look he had any time he was around other people wasn’t there. He just looked so calm.
I ran my index finger from his forehead to the edge of his jawline, moving down to his ch
