Chapter 57
AMANDA
"You can go in now," Emiliana said. I didn't know who she was talking to, but suddenly several police vehicles began to arrive. "Take care of him," she ordered before coming directly to my side.
Emiliana didn't waste any time and took a metal pipe, which she used to break the lock on the cell. I immediately went into her arms, hiding my face in her neck. Now it was me who was sobbing, but they were tears of relief.
"Calm down, redhead; the nightmare is over," she said, kissing my tangled hair. "Come on, I'll get you out of here," she assured me, putting one arm around my shoulders and the other around my waist to support me. I cried even more.
We walked out of the warehouse, and several paramedics and stretcher bearers surrounded us. We headed straight to one of the ambulances, where they placed a blanket over our shoulders. Emiliana held me close.
