I should have known nothing will be easy in this pack, ever. I sigh to myself. Melissa really thought I would keep something so important as me being a fox shifter from my mate? She has always been a slutty dumbass, that clearly hasn’t changed much. I internally roll my eyes. If only she knew that Winter is Maze’s true mate. I am his true mate. It probably wouldn’t make a difference for her. She has always been a bitch, even when we were kids, and she was always the princess of her family who were some of the best warriors for our pack. I almost gag. I heard she is mated to Callan, the Beta. I hope for him it’s not true. She will not be a good Beta female.

I zone back into the conversation when dad says he has some news regarding the current ranking in the pack, and a request for me and Maze, more for Maze at this current time than me because I have not been crowned yet.
