Chapter 12. Inexplicable Feelings

Daniel POV

I had been sparring with Alex on the training grounds, venting my anger and frustration on him. I hated what he said about Aria in the dining room, and I didn’t want anyone to think of her like that.

“What’s it to you, Daniel? Why do you care so much?” Cole reprimanded me.

“I don’t know, Cole. And don’t start lecturing me, please. I am not in the mood,” I replied to my wolf as I avoided another strike from Alex.

As if my senses awakened, I looked to the side and saw Aria dressed in tight sports leggings and a crop top. She walked past the training grounds and took the path that led to the forest and the nearby lake. Her back was straight, and she was the epitome of beauty. She was stunning, her face glowing without makeup and her hair shiny in a high ponytail. Aria noticed me staring and averted her gaze, walking faster. I made her uncomfortable, especially after what had happened between us in the kitchen.
