Chapter 55. Engagement

Daniel POV

Aria’s last words had truly angered me. Why was she asking about Lea?

I had already sacrificed my relationship to satisfy my father’s crazy wishes for me to marry her, Aria, his latest favourite.

“Leave Lea out of this. She won’t get involved. It’s bad enough that I have broken my promise and humiliated her by not making her my Luna,” I said bitterly.

“Don’t tell me that she’s fine with that, Alpha Daniel. What did you promise to placate her? She wasn’t very eager to let you go from what I saw a while ago,” Aria asked.

“Just stay out of it, Aria. I will handle Lea. Go back to your house and get ready for tonight. Since my father wants us to play by his rules, we will play. Do not expect anything from me, though because nothing will happen between us,” I declared and walked away.

I entered the packhouse and went searching for Lea. I found her pacing in her new room. She was very upset.
