Oh. Kris looks like someone caught him stealing not just a cookie from a jar, but the whole batch straight from the oven.

“O-Of course not!” The alpha exclaims, though anyone with ears can definitely hear his guilt. 

“I just think Serena deserves to know all the risks that come with finding an alpha or a beta in that stupid run.She also needs to know how to derail those stupid knot heads if they end up bothering her at some point.”

The disdain rolling off of Kris’s mouth as he thought about those stupid knot heads managed to even surprise Serena.

 Kris was typically gentle, playful, and sometimes all cute-sy to Serena. 

The omega has never heard him speak so harshly. But if that was supposed to deter Hendrix from his agenda, then it didn’t work.

 Not when he even dared to wink at Kris. “Oh, I can definitely do that, but I can also teach Seri all the best positions to be knotted against the forest trees.”

“Hendrix please.”
