She let the alphas take the pups away from her all the time, letting them spoil them with affection and allowing her less time to bond. She knew, anyway, that the minute she stretched her arms, one source of her happiness would immediately be placed in her arms. 

Anastasia discovered very soon after recovering that her days would be filled with feeding. One pup would remove themselves from her and another would latch on right then.
