Chapter 9
“She won’t die on us,” Xander snapped impatiently. He understood his brother’s worries. They lost their parents too young. Xavier had never been the same. He worried himself sick each time someone was sick since then. He was the one that galloped on horseback to find the doctor. “We are mating her ,” Xander concluded. Xavier sighed but did not protest.not like he wanted to.
“It is settled then,” Harris interfered, “I can officiate the wedding whenever you want me to,” he shrugged.
“All right,” Julius said, putting back on his hat. “We have work to do. I will see you both for dinner later,” he added before heading to his horse. Soon enough, the others followed his suit.
When she woke up once again, dusk already settled in the sky.
How long had she slept?
