Chapter 6

She quickly undressed and stepped under the hot water. A groan of pleasure escaped her lips. She never truly had a shower. They only washed their faces and bodies using a basin in the room. To have flowing warm water on her skin felt heavenly. She took her time scrubbing her skin. Her cheeks flushed from embarrassment as the water ran brown from the grime and dirt on her. She washed her hair after. She bathed herself until the water ran clear then she was sure she was clean.

She stepped out of the shower almost unwillingly. She wished to bask in it some more and enjoy it. She headed to the cabinets and quietly opened them. She found towels. She took one smiling at how soft it felt against her now pink-scrubbed skin. She bit her lip reaching for some perfume as well. If the alphas wanted to cancel the wedding, at least she would have had a proper shower.
