For a moment, I wondered why he got angry so I raised my brows when he rolled over and walked toward the door. Then, he slammed the door shut behind him. He merely put on an act of being polite for a brief period of time before returning back to being a horrible person, but then he mentioned I wasn’t a prisoner in his home.

I took a deep breath before following him outside but couldn’t find him. He was not in the living room so I assumed he went to his bedroom to sleep or whatever. Instead of looking for him, I went outside to survey the area and to check if Seth was really assigned to another task.

True to his words, I didn’t find anyone else on the property. As I walked outside the contemporary house, I noticed that his garden had beautiful flowers, especially the roses and orchids. As soon as I reached the garden, I closed my eyes as I breathed the wonderful scents coming from the orchids.
