Taking a deep sigh, I regretted lying to Ryder about meeting Amelia for dinner. Though I did text Amelia to meet me at The Regency, she had to reschedule. So, instead of the elegant establishment, I ended up at the quaint coffee shop within the nearby movie theater. After enjoying my favorite latte, I settled for some popcorn and soda, feeling surprisingly satisfied despite the unconventional dinner.

As I made my way home, I passed a street lined with food stalls, one of which piqued my interest. Curious, I parked my car and approached the bustling stall. However, my excitement dwindled as I realized it was a human restaurant, serving mostly fried food, burgers, and fries.

After finding an empty table, I perused the menu and ordered their bestseller, intrigued by the unfamiliar cuisine. Despite my human guise, such fare was a novelty to me, perhaps because I rarely ventured out during my time in Mooncrest.
