Chapter 2

“Mirela, you’re gorgeous.” A pair of emerald eyes stared into her eyes, she looked at the man who was holding her and smiled.

Raising her arms she wrapped them around his neck and kissed his jaw, he was handsome and strong. He was the alpha of the biggest pack.

They called him a beast but to her he was her lovely mate, he was smiling at her with love soon his smile faded and replaced it with a cold smirk.

“I, Ascian Lucas…” Mirela’s eyes were snapped open. She sat up on the bed and clutched the bedsheet tightly.

She was hurt and tired.

Tired of seeing the man who ripped her heart apart in her dreams.

She’s moving on but it wasn’t easy. Taking the glass of water she was keeping for herself on the small bedside table, she drank it at once.

Laying on the bed again, she hugged the most precious thing she had in her life. Her little son.

Ascian’s and Mirela’s two and half years old son.

Mirela stroked the little boy’s hair gently, he was in a deep and peaceful sleep. Watching him sleep, she studied his features, no matter how many times she did it she would never get tired of looking at his handsome features even if he was a little child.

He looked so similar to his father, jet black hair, similar sharp jawlines, thin lips and especially those emerald eyes she loved the most.

Every time she tried to forget the man who rejected her after getting what he wanted, this little soul that she had given birth stopped it. She knew she won’t be able to forget him in this lifetime.

“Ahren, I’m sorry for hiding you from your daddy” Mirela kissed the little boy’s forehead and closed her eyes. She wanted to sleep, sleep and start a new day without thoughts of Ascian. She knew she wa1sn’t that strong to do that but she always tried to forget him.

Every time she thought about Ascian it made her wolf go numb from pain, the pain he caused three years ago made her suffer in all ways. Pregnant, heart aches and especially it affected her wolf in a dangerous way, she cannot shift into her wolf anymore. Her most beautiful, snow white wolf was now silent, she’s not responding, she doesn’t care about anything. She just became a half dead soul after suffering from her mate’s rejection.

Mirela lost the most important part of a werewolf. She’s just nothing but a useless werewolf who cannot shift into her wolf but yet she failed to bring herself to hate him.

Broken, empty and useless.

That’s what she was gifted by the moon goddess.

“Momma, wake up” Mirela opened her eyes and greeted with beautiful emerald eyes. Her heart filled with love and smiled and got up from the bed.

“Momma will make breakfast to my little prince, wait for me okay?” She kissed his forehead and said as the boy nodded at her obediently.

Walking into the washroom, she grabbed a shower quickly wanting to make breakfast fast for Ahren. After she was done, she took Ahren into the washroom and washed him. Then she ran into the kitchen as she started to make breakfast.

After preparing breakfast she took Ahren onto her lap.

“Say aaa” Mirela playfully said her little son giggled against her body and ate everything she fed him.

“Momma, uncle Hale said he’s coming today” She Mirela’s actions stopped, she looked down at her son with curiosity.

“How? Why is he coming baby?” she questioned him.

“I… don’t know momma” The little boy replied while playing with a strand of her long hair. She took a deep breath and nodded at him.

Time passed slowly, Mirela was reading a book while her son was playing with his toys. She stopped reading the book and looked at her son. He was cute and lovely, he was lost with his toys as he played.

“You’re pregnant. I don’t think you can give birth to this child because your body is so weak to bear a child with alpha blood.”

“Not only that, your wolf’s energy is losing. You will lose your life. You’re nothing but similar to a human now”

Mirela’s heart tightened, those words from three years ago replayed in her mind again. She still couldn’t forget the look that the doctor gave her. She nearly lost her life when she was giving birth but her wolf stayed strong and gave all her energy to the baby before falling into a deadly silence.

She lived because of him, she wanted to see him grow up and be a strong man like his father but she didn’t want him to be heartless as he so she wanted to teach him love and care, especially how to treat his mate.

“Momma, uncle Hale is here” Mirela was pulled back to the present by her little son’s voice. She got up from the chair and looked at the man who was smiling gently at her.

He was the son of the alpha of this pack, he confessed her more than once, he cared about her and Ahren but no matter how good he was, her heart failed to love another man because her heart was still belong to someone who hurt her, and chiefly she didn’t have strength to trust any other man after the incident of three years ago.

“Mirela, I came here to inform something. There’s a special event happening tonight, an alpha of another pack is visiting here today. Be there with Ahren at six in the evening.”

“Mother asked me to give you this”

Hale smiled at Mirela and put the bag he was holding on the chair. A warm feeling spread across her chest as she thought about the current luna of the pack. She was really nice to her, taking care of her as if she was her own daughter. But one thing that Mirela knew was that Hale’s mother also wanted Mirela to be with Hale.

“I will be there, thank you” Mirela smiled at Hale gently.

He watched her for a while and nodded before leaving the house.

She watched leaving him leaving the house, walking towards the bag he had put on the chair she opened it, there was a dress for her. She sighed and looked at the time, it was almost four in the evening.

“Ahren, let me wash you. Do you want to eat something before washing?”

“Yes, I want to eat that chocolate cake momma made yesterday” Showing his pearl white teeth he ran towards her and jumped into her arms. Mirela’s lips slowly curled into a smile and she kissed his forehead and carried him into the kitchen.

Mirela wore Ahren his clothes and took him to the living room as she put him on the sofa.

“Momma will wear clothes and come, wait here, don’t run anywhere and dirt your clothes okay?”

After gaining a strict nod from her little son she smiled and walked into the room and got ready. Looking herself in the mirror she found the dress Hale’s mother sent her somewhat similar to a dress that she wore three years ago when she first met him.

Crimson red and black, they were both perfectly matched with each other that day, Mirela noticed that his eyes never left her after seeing her for the first time. Soon after he came to her and pulled her to him capturing her lips.

‘Stop it Mirela, it was the past. Just don’t think about it. Move on. You’re still thinking about him but I bet he’s having another woman with him.’ Mirela forced her thoughts back and stared at her through the mirror but something was missing. She moved her hands and touched her ears, the pearl earring that her brother bought for her wasn’t with her anymore. She left it three years ago and there’s no way she could get it back.

“Momma, you’re late” Mirela looked back at Ahren who was standing at the door, a smile broke into her lips because he was looking away like a gentleman.

“Let’s go” She walked to him and picked him up as she walked out of the house shutting the door behind her.
