Chapter 27. Finale
In the morning, in her house in the Academy, they were awakened by a loud knock on the door, followed by a more familiar invitation from the spirit to come down for breakfast. According to Lucas' mumbling, the sun was already high in the sky; the hostess was sleeping too long, and the toast was getting cold.
Cursing Lucas, Lyra tried to catch the vanishing dream by the tail. Suddenly, she felt a light kiss on the tip of her nose and opened her eyes abruptly.
"I wish I could wake up with you like this every day," Adrian gave her a radiant smile. His hair was tousled, his face slightly rumpled, a pillow print was visible on his right cheek, and a light three-day stubble on his cheeks. Lyra liked him like that, an honest, sincere man who loved only her.
She reached out for a morning kiss, and he gave it to her. They could have stayed in this bed forever, but there was a persistent knocking on the door again.
"I think we better go downstairs," Adrian suggested. B
