Chapter 4. Second First Acquaintance
"Oof! For what… so… high. Wow ... why is Headmaster live on the tower's top floor?" Lyra said with shortness of breath.
Sweat flickered in small streams along the cheekbone. It was urgent to apply some ointment.
Taking out a small vial and rubbing it on her face, Lyra took a step and slipped, she wanted to grab the railing, but her hand in the cream slipped, and the girl fell back.
She didn't immediately understand how she was hanging just a millimeter away from the sharp edges of the stairs.
"You are fortunate today," came a voice from beside her. The owner was not visible but well audible. "A little more, and you would have sent greetings to God personally on the other side of life," the stranger continued. And the more he spoke, the more familiar his voice sounded.
"M-m-maybe," she cleared her throat, "maybe the Savior will put me in a human position so I can thank him."
