I stood still at the door, his words registering in my head.

Say what now? Move in where?

“Excuse me?” I asked.

“You heard me. You are moving into my house on Saturday,” he stated.

“Um… I can’t move in with you,” I argued.

“Then you are already failing your tests. Go home and pack. I will send someone to come pick you up on Saturday,” he ordered.

“But, but…” I started to argue.

“No buts, you are coming with me. You wanted this, remember?” he asked.

I nodded.

“Good, then go make it happen,” he said in finality.

He faced the large window, silently telling me the conversation was over. I didn’t have anything to say to that. I slipped out the door.

I passed his assistant on my way. Even her glare could not stop the big smile I was sporting on my face.
