I panicked immediately, not knowing how she found out. Although she might have seen Ronan walk in after sleeping over, I knew he slept here till I fell asleep, and that was all.

I hardly noticed when he left my side, but even if he did, I was sure he would be careful just as I was to avoid creating a stir of any kind.

“And what made you come to such odd and lame conclusions?” I asked her back, holding a straight face.

“I did not conclude. All I’m saying is the fact that you know something about it, and besides, I had seen him walk into your room. He never tends to anyone inside our rooms and hardly leaves his room on the weekends. What lies do you have to tell?” She asked me in a rude tone, acting just like her true self.

I thought quickly and hard – Lacy had seen Ronan walk in, but she wasn’t sure about him sleeping in with me as she had never seen him walk out.
