He cleared his throat as he looked up at Lacy, who was now regretting her choice of words.

“About the grease, I’d like to think of it as a mistake from either of you, and I do not want such a thing to occur again,” we both curtsied, slightly ready to move away.

“Sophie, you stay. You committed a severe offense, which is hitting another person. You didn’t think I would let you go unpunished, did you?”

I felt my heart thud against my chest on hearing him call out my name. For some reason, it sent some waves down through me, which made me shake in anticipation.
