I walked into the main house, and the first thing that surprised me was the odd silence that welcomed me. Everyone seemed to be a ghost, as no one was around.
Even then, the maids were not seen, and none of the girls were hovering around, which made me confused.
“What is wrong?” I asked no one in particular but myself. If anything had gone wrong, I would have been informed about it by the security team, and I didn’t think that was the case.
I walked up the stairs, hoping to catch a glimpse of at least one of the girls, but nothing at all, just the plain old silence and emptiness, which caused me to remember the old days when I had known no one and just built the house.
But now everything was in place, and seeing it this way scared me the most.
“Welcome, sir,” Danica said with a straight and long face as she received my bag from me. I could tell she seemed pissed about something, and it didn’t take me much to put the pieces together.
