The next day came by so fast. I just closed my eyes for a bit to rest, and the next thing I knew, it was bright, and the birds were chirping early.

I had no choice but to stand up and get ready for breakfast.

Yesterday, I decided that I was going to talk to Ronan and make things right. The story Jade told me pretty much changed my mind.

I knew the reason she told me, and it worked because all I could think about was how to make it right with him.

“Come on, Sophie. You can do this,” I hyped myself up in the mirror.

I took a shower and headed downstairs, where I joined the rest of the girls for breakfast.

Jade was cooking again. She seemed to like cooking.

“Oh, thank God, Sophie, thank goodness you are here,” she exclaimed as soon as she saw me.

“Why, what happened?” I asked in worry.

“Been looking for who will take the master’s food to him. I can’t since I am busy on the stove,” she said.
