I was dressed and ready for battle. Sophie watched me from the bed with a strange look on her face.

“So, you are going to work?” she asked.

Okay, so I wasn’t dressed for battle. She had no idea I was going to face Antonio and end this once and for all.

I didn’t want her to come along or worry about me. The only person I told was Jasper.

I called him into the office and told him what was at stake. I will need him as a backup. I also made him swear not to say anything to Sophie.

“And you are going with Jasper?” she asked.

“Yes, I need to show him a thing or two. He might find interest there,” I explained.

That also was a lie, but I also needed to find him something to do if he was going to stay in his sister’s life permanently.
