I lifted my hands in surrender, glaring at the man in front of me.
“Now, that is no way to greet a friend,” I taunted.
“Not so brave now, are we?” he asked with a smirk.
I brought my hands down, standing my ground.
“I came to make a trade with you. If you are going to be an ass about it, then forget about it,” I said with a smirk of my own.
“You are negotiating with me?” he asked.
“Am I not supposed to? Did you expect me to come here and hand it over? Just like that?”
“Fair point.”
“We also agreed to meet alone. Why do you have bodyguards? Paranoid much?” I asked.
The vein on his forehead threatened to explode. I was getting to him.
Good.
“The nature of my business doesn’t allow me to travel alone. You can understand, can’t you?”
He twirled his gun in front of me like he wanted me to be scared.
I didn’t flinch, not one bit.
My eyes followed his every movement as he walked around me.
