Chapter 68

Jade POV

“You say I have no effect on you any longer, sweetheart?” He asked me and his mischievous smirk spread into a wider smile. His face was so close to mine that our lips were only a few inches apart. 

I bit my inner cheek, staring into those brown dangerous eyes. I was lying. He knew I was lying. We both knew. Because even as I rested on the kitchen table with my legs slightly open and with him standing in between and leaning down to speak to me, I was getting hot already. The throbbing sensation I felt was calling on to him, desperately. 

All I had just wanted that evening was to make food for myself and somehow I found myself in this position with Saint. 

After the Suzy incident a few days ago, I had just ended up spending most of my time inside my room. Although my new room was just beside his, I just saw him on one occasion and it had been awkward on my own side seeing I was the one keeping my distance from him.
