Chapter 209. The Accusationers

The morning sun was up in the sky. Her eyes opened as she looked around the room and found herself alone.

He wasn't here.

He had left last night after their heated conversation, and she had gone to sleep.

Her mood swings had become severe. She had become so depressed lately. She preferred loneliness to everything. Her thoughts were her solace and also her biggest enemy. There was no in between. Sometimes the rational thoughts gave her hope and other times, irrational ones would make her question her sanity.

She decided to go back to sleep since she didn't want to be at the breakfast table and mingle with Shehryaar's family. She wanted to be with herself only.

As she was about to go back to sleep, the door to her room knocked, and a maid entered. Sheharzaad gave her permission as she entered the room.

"Good morning, ma'am," the maid greeted with a warm smile on her face. Sheharzaad was curious about what brought her here.
