Chapter 219. I Always Knew
"I am about to."
"Fine. My men will enter within ten minutes."
"Wait," she said spontaneously.
After a few moments, she heard him speaking, "What happened?"
Sheharzaad quietened. Her heart beating loudly in her ears.
"It's nothing," her voice was lost.
"Are you having second thoughts?"
"About what?"
"About helping us with our plan?"
Again, silence came over. She couldn't respond to him since she felt like backing off. Her heart beat rapidly and incessantly, and she found herself stuck in a dilemma.
She wanted to back off, but it was not the time.
"Think of the time you spent in the cell," he murmured, and suddenly all the second thoughts disappeared. Everything blurred, and all her brain was able to focus on was what happened with her in that cell. The will to back off diminished, and all she wanted in that moment was to extract her revenge.
