Chapter 150. Dua's Secret
Zahra sat in Dua's room, her mind swirling with a storm of emotions. Dua was busy taking clothes out of her cupboard, her movements brisk and purposeful, but Zahra could barely focus on what was happening around her.
Her thoughts were consumed by the weight of her impending rukhsati, the fear of what lay ahead, and the haunting memory of Irtaza's cold, unyielding demeanor. She felt like a prisoner in her own life, trapped in a web of expectations and obligations she had never asked for.
Dua glanced at Zahra, noticing her distant expression. "What are you thinking, Zahra?" she asked, placing a stack of clothes on the bed.
"Nothing," Zahra replied quickly, her voice barely above a whisper. She forced a small smile, hoping to mask the turmoil inside her. "What are these clothes for?"
"These clothes are... for the maids, actually," Dua explained, her tone casual. "I'm giving some of my old clothes to them and sending a few to Irtaza bhai's mansion as well."
