She stiffened again, and he pulled back just enough to tilt her chin up, forcing her to look at him.
“There’s no escaping me.” His eyes bored in hers as he delivered the message. He only desired to convey her that how serious he was. About her. And about this relationship. There was no going back with him. It was just a blind alley for her. And the destination of that alley was him.
Her lips trembled, her eyes filled with the same terror he had seen countless times before.
But beneath it, he saw something else.
Defeat.
She wouldn’t do this again.
Because he knew that no matter what, he would always catch her.
Always.
In his mind, she belonged to him. Just him. And he could do anything he desired to do with her just to lay his claim and mark his territory. He was a territorial man and she was his territory that he had conquered.
