Chapter 189. Kiss Me
He looked at her for a second or two and withdrew his hand, walking towards the sofa, his boots creating a striking sound in the room that snapped her out of her sudden anger. The sound of his steps echoed, sharp and unforgiving, filling the space between them. Every movement of his radiated power, dominance. It made her feel small, insignificant, like she was nothing more than a pawn in a game where he controlled every move.
He sat on the couch and turned his head toward her.
She was standing there breathless, her hands tightly fisting her shirt. Her fingers curled into the fabric, nails pressing into her skin through the thin material. Her entire body was stiff, the tension in her limbs making her feel like she would crumble under his gaze.
"Walk to me," he ordered in his deep, commanding voice, and her heart sank.
Her breath hitched, her muscles tensed. Every part of her screamed at her to stay rooted in place.
