Jocelyn’s POV
“Do you have any idea what you’ve done?” My voice cut, almost shrill as I looked across the desk at Robert.
Robert leaned back in his chair, his expression calm, his fingers playing with a pen in an unrolling circle. “Why don’t you enlighten me, Jocelyn?”
“You were supposed to abduct one helpless little girl!” I spat, my hands crashing against the desk, spraying spittle. “And yet you have still managed to make an omnishambles of absolutely everything!”
“One helpless, little girl?” Robert sneered, an eyebrow arched high. “If she was so helpless and weak, why in God’s name did Dominic and Luca show up like goddamn heroes in a bad action movie?”
“That’s what I want to know!” I exploded, her voice loudly verging on hysteria. “How the hell did you let them get the drop on you? You’re supposed to be a professional!”
