Dominic’s POV
I opened the file, flipping through the documents inside birth records, photographs, and old newspaper clippings. And then, there it was, plain as day, Antonio, a name once pertinent to us, was Antonio Morris, Robert’s illegitimate son.
“F**k,” I muttered under my breath, slamming the file shut. “That son of a b**** played us all along.”
Stefano nodded, stone-faced, granite serious. “He infiltrated our organization, was inducted into our inner circle, and then had the brains to try to sabotage us. And he got the punishment he deserved.”
“And now Robert’s out for blood,” I said, sliding back into my chair as I worked through this information. “It’s no longer just business for him. It’s personal.”
Stefano rubbed a hand across his face. “It all makes sense now, the attacks, the threats. It is all because of Antonio. He tries not only to destroy us but to avenge his son.”
