Unknown POV
ELEVEN YEARS AGO
My chest heaved, my fists tightened. The smell of blood filled the air, slow whimpers beneath me.
I had just killed a bear, more like murdering it. A sinister smile crawled up my lips as I watched the animal groan in pain.
Ever since I was little, I had trained myself to be a hunter, often attacking prey in the woods.
It wasn't so easy striving through life as I was nothing but a pathetic teenager who got abandoned by his mother.
I gritted my teeth, tearing the bear's apart. I remembered my cry, my soft plea.
"Mama, don't leave me. How am I supposed to survive without you?" I had asked her but her blue eyes flashed with pure hatred and frustration.
"I'm leaving you for good, son. Don't come looking for me. If I stay, a better future isn't promised for us but when I leave, I can find hope if not for you but my self."
