Chapter 119

Selene's POV 

Brooklyn, New York City.

Today was so hectic, the cake shop didn't stop trooping with customers.

I checked the time and it says, 8:30 PM. It was past closing time and I ought to be on my way home already but I could only leave when my boss was around and it was taking to long for him to come around.

I kept glancing, peeping at the doorstep hopping for Jon to come in but I didn't catch a glimpse of him.

Argh, I groaned inwardly but didn't show the disgust on my face. 

I had to put on a smile and be nice to customers. 

If was still for a while so I took the time to reply to my mom's message. 

I clenched my fists at the sight of her text. She was the worst thing that had ever happened to me.

All she did was hook up with different men, disappearing and appearing anytime she felt like.

I have always been alone since I was a kid and now was no different.
