Selene's POV 

Castillo ruined my day the moment he walked in here. Why did he keep showing up?

I couldn't even concentrate and it's worse.

"Sel, what's on your mind?" Alice, my coworker and best friend nudged my side as she snapped me out of my thoughts. 

I faked a smile, nodding the negative. "It's nothing, Selene. I'm just a bit tired."

A smirk tugged at Alice's lips and I knew she had something opposite on her mind.

Alice and I had been friends for so many years now. She had been the only family I had all along and I couldn't get enough of her love and affection.
