Castillo's POV

Every night when Selene walked back home, I'd always stalk her, hiding behind the shadows.

When she got kidnapped, I saw everything and just when I wanted to run after the motherfucker, I received a call from dad.

"Not now, Dad." I gritted my teeth, shoving my phone back in my pocket but the calls persisted so I had to answer it.

"Castillo, you refused to show up at the Clan's meeting. You didn't come to New York just for nothing." His angry voice sounded as soon as the call connected.

"You are supposed to be at the hospital, Dad." I sighed, rubbing my forehead.

"Does that matter?" He snarled, "look, Castillo, those years of your nonchalance are gone. Now is the time to prove yourself worthy."

"I thought I made this clear, Father. I'm not interested in handling the gang's affairs. It's just too complicated for me. They killed mother and you couldn't do anything about it. Everyone just faces their own business
